How is Medication Given?
Follow your veterinarian's directions when using this product. Use a needle with a narrow gauge (such as 22-gauge or 30-gauge) to administer. This and other parenteral drugs should be visually inspected thoroughly for discoloration or particulates before use. This solution is clear and colorless, and any discolored solution should be disposed of. Administer intradermally, subcutaneously, intramuscularly, or intravenously. This product should be used for aseptic, intra-articular conditions or per-articular use. If local anesthesia is indicated, combine this solution at a ratio of 1:1 with Lidocaine Hydrochloride (1% or 2%). A similar local anesthetic could be used. Required dosage rate should be withdrawn into syringe from ampule. Thereafter, local anesthesia should be withdrawn and the syringe briefly shaken. Typically, a dose of 0.5 mL to 1 mL will be withdrawn.
