How is Medication Given? Follow your veterinarian's directions when using this product. A loading dose (for a serum level of about 1 mg per mL) can be achieved through a daily dose of 120 mg per kg of body weight. Administer for a 5-day period, then begin administering 30 mg per kg of body weight daily. For a serum level of about 1.5 mg per mL, administer a daily dose of 160 mg per kg of body weight for a 5-day period, then begin administering 40 mg per kg of body weight daily.
