Key Benefits: Altrenogest produces progestational effects. Formulated For: For mares. How is Medication Given? If you are a pregnant woman or you may be pregnant, do not handle this product. Wear protective gloves to remove the shipping cap and the seal, replacing them with the dispensing cap (included). Remove the cover from the dispensing tip, then connect a needle-free luer lock syringe. Withdraw the proper OvaMed solution volume, taking care not to remove the syringe while the bottle is in an inverted position to prevent spillage. Remove the syringe, then orally administer the solution at a dosage rate of 1 mL for every 110 lbs body weight daily for 15 days in a row. Dose in the mare's daily ration of grain, or administer right on the base of her tongue. Place the cover back on the dispensing tip in an effort to avoid leakage. Because excessive syringe use can cause sticking, the syringe should be replaced as needed.
