DESCRIPTION: Clopidogrel is an anti-platelet drug administered orally to cats who have cardiomyopathy or dogs who have underlying hypercoagulability. It is impressively anti-platelet in cats, offering a wide range of dosage rates. It is particularly beneficial for animals who are aspirin-intolerant. Clopidrogel and similar cardiac drugs are frequently used to treat the symptoms of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) in cats, and it is also used to treat dogs for immune-mediated hemolytic anemia.
