Clean and dry affected area prior to use. Verify that the eardrum is intact. Add drops in the ear canal and massage the ear.Shake well Missed Doses: Give the dose as soon as possible. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose, and continue with the regular schedule. Do not give 2 doses at once. Side Effects: Topical sensitivity and reduced hearing or deafness may occur. Other side effects may also occur. Talk to your veterinarian about any side effect that seems unusual or bothersome to your pet. Drug & Food Interactions: There are no documented drug interactions with this medication. Make sure to tell your veterinarian what other medication you are giving to your pet. Quite often your veterinarian may prescribe two different medications, even if a drug interaction may occur. In this case, your veterinarian may vary the dose and or monitor your pet more closely. Contact your veterinarian if your pet experiences any unusual reactions when different medications are given together. Cautions: For otic use only. Do not use in dogs with suspected or known allergies to miconazole nitrate, polymyxin B sulfate, or prednisolone acetate. Do not use in dogs with a perforated ear drum. Do not use with drugs known to cause ear damage. Safe use has not been proven in pregnant, nursing, or breeding dogs. Avoid using other ear medications unless instructed to by your veterinarian. Talk to your veterinarian before using any other prescription or over the counter medicines, including vitamins, minerals, and herbal products. Discontinue use if hearing loss is noted during treatment. If overgrowthof non susceptible bacteria or fungi occurs, treatment should be discontinued and appropriate therapy established. Using beyond the recommended dose of 7 days may result in delayed wound healing. Allergic reactions to medications may occur. Be sure to inform VetSource and your veterinarian if your pet has any known drug sensitivities or allergies. If your pet displays symptoms of an allergic reaction, call your veterinarian immediately or go to a veterinary emergency clinic.
