We recommend using one 16 in x 24 in potty for dogs up to 20 lbs. Connect two 16 in x 24 in interlocking trays to build a potty size of 24 in x 32 in or 16 in x 48 in for dogs up to 21-30 lbs. Customize and connect, in a way that fits your space, three potties to build a potty for dogs 31- 45 lbs. Connect four or more potties to create size desired for dogs 45 lbs and up. For multiple dog use, combine weights of dogs to calculate the number of potties required. Launder washable absorbent PoochPad on regular cycle with detergent in warm to hot water. PoochPads can be urinated on multiple times before washing. You can also pre-treat your PoochPads with PoochPad Stain & Odor Eliminator (sold separately). Minor shrinkage of the reusable absorbent PoochPad will occur after washing. Excessive use of chlorine bleach or fabric softeners is not recommended as it can cause damage to the fibers and reduce the absorbency of PoochPads. Caution: Not meant to be consumed Set-Up instructions: 1. Choose how many 16 in x 24 in potties you will need for your dog's potty area. Multiple potties can be connected together by using the convenient built-in connectable rails located on the black collection tray. 2. Attach 4 self-adhesive rubber feet (included with package) to the outer corners of the bottom of the black collection tray. This will help prevent tray from moving. 3. Launder washable PoochPad before first use for best fit and absorbency. PoochPad will initially be larger than tray. After first washing, pad will shrink to fit tray properly. Place pad in tray. Slide PoochGuard into the track of the tray. Attach the pad's elastic bands to cut-out hooks on the bottom of the HikeShield to secure in place. Then place grass on top of pad. 4. Prepare your dog's potty for use by dabbing a small amount of your dog's urine in the center of the grass mat or alternatively use a small amount of PoochPad Potty Training Attractant Spray (sold separately). Please note, some dogs may not need this and will use potty on their own. 5. Lead your dog to spot and allow to sniff the area. Your dog will learn that this is the approved place to go.
