Description: Adequan i.m. (polysulfated glycosaminoglycan) is recommended for the intramuscular treatment of non-infectious degenerative and/or traumatic joint dysfunction and associated lameness of the carpal and hock joints in horses. Manufacturer's Recommended Dosage and Administration: The recommended dose of Adequan i.m. in horses is 500 mg every 4 days for 28 days intramuscularly. Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water before and after administration. Use a new, sterile needle and syringe for each injection. Needles and syringes should never be reused. Adequately clean and disinfect the vial stopper with an alcohol wipe, then allow it to dry before inserting the sterile needle/syringe.
