Description: MilbeMite™ Otic Solution is used topically for treatment of ear mites in cats and kittens. MILBEMITE OTIC Solution is indicated for treatment of ear mite (Otodectes cynotis) infestations in cats and kittens four weeks of age and older. Effectiveness is maintained throughout the life cycle of the ear mite. Each foil pouch contains two tubes of solution, one for each ear. Open the tube by pressing cap down firmly to break seal. Remove cap and check to be sure tip of tube is open. Squeeze the tube to administer the contents of one tube into each external ear canal. Massage the base of the ear for optimal distribution. Cleaning of the external ear canal prior to treatment may be performed, but is not necessary to provide effectiveness. Missed Doses: Apply the dose as soon as possible. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with the regular schedule. Do not apply two doses at once. Side Effects: Serious side effects are not expected. Mild side effects such as skin irritation and redness have been reported. Other side effects may occur. If you notice anything unusual, contact your veterinarian. Drug & Food Interactions: There are no documented drug interactions with this medication. Contact your veterinarian if your pet experiences any unusual reactions when different medications are given together. Make sure to tell your veterinarian what other medication or supplements you are giving your pet. Quite often your veterinarian may prescribe two different medications, even if a drug interaction may occur. In this case, your veterinarian may vary the dose and or monitor your pet more closely. Cautions: Keep out of reach of children and pets. Not for human use. For use in the ears only. Allergic reactions to medications may occur. If your pet displays symptoms of an allergic reaction, call your veterinarian immediately or go to a veterinary emergency clinic. Symptoms may include but are not limited to: swollen lips, tongue, face, airways; difficulty breathing; agitation; profuse salivation; vomiting; widespread hives and itching.
