Description: GentaCalm is a topical spray indicated for the treatment of infected superficial lesions in dogs caused by bacteria susceptible to gentamicin. Apply GentaCalm topically to the affected area(s) as directed by your veterinarian. Prior to treatment, remove excessive hair and clean the lesion adjacent area. Hold the bottle upright 3 to 6 inches from the lesion and depress the sprayer head twice. Administer 2 to 4 times daily for 7 days. Missed Doses: Apply the dose as soon as possible. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with the regular schedule. Do not apply two doses at once. Side Effects: This product is well tolerated when used appropriately. Side effects appear to be uncommon, but may include vomiting and diarrhea. Notify your veterinarian if side effects appear and remain troublesome. Use of topical antibiotics may permit overgrowth of non susceptible bacteria, fungi, or yeasts. Administration of recommended dose beyond 7 days may result in delayed wound healing; animals treated for longer than 7 days should be monitored closely. Other side effects may occur. If you notice anything unusual, contact your veterinarian. Drug & Food Interactions: There are no documented drug or food related interactions with this product. Contact your veterinarian if your pet experiences any unusual reactions when different medications are given together. Ensure your veterinarian is aware of all medications and or supplements you are giving to your pet. Quite often your veterinarian may prescribe two different medications, even if a potential drug interaction may occur.
