Squirrel-XSquirrel-X2 Squirrel-Proof Bird Feeder
DESCRIPTION Feed birds (not squirrels!) with the revolutionary Squirrel-X2 Squirrel-Proof Bird Feeder! If a squirrel tries to feed on any of the 2 spring-loaded perches, the X2's integrated design shuts every port simultaneously. And if a squirrel tries to hang from the top, the X2	s hinged roof tilts under the weight of the squirrel, closing both ports to stop racketeering rodents right in their tracks! From Cardinals and Grosbeaks to Finches and more, songbirds love the X2's long, broad perches. Its large, 4 lb. seed capacity lasts longer between refillings, and the Stay Full Port seed diverter design keeps seeds flowing to hungry birds. Step 2: Pour seed into the wide top. Step 3: To lock the roof back onto the feeder, gently pull on the metal clips, align roof with plastic tabs on feeder and release. Cleaning the Feeder: Remove locking metal roof by squeezing the plastic tabs located under the rim and lifting. Hand wash with warm water and a mild antibacterial soap. Rinse thoroughly and let dry completely before refilling with seed. If seed gets caught in the bottom beneath the perches, remove the two screws from the bottom to remove the metal base. To reinstall the base, secure the metal base to the plastic body with the screws. Do not over-tighten. Choose Your Birds: Use the tension adjustment pin below the perch to Choose Your Birds. Use your feeder with the pin in the down position for smaller birds. Larger birds can perch with the pin in the up position. 1. Place the bird feeder pole at least 15 feet or more from any surface the squirrel can jump from, such as a tree, shrub, house or other bird feeder. You may have to move it farther than that if the squirrel can still jump to it. 2. Mount bird feeder on the pole or shepherds hook and put your feeder at least 5 feet off the ground.View details
