When filling your tank with water, place a saucer on the substrate and pour the water onto the saucer. This will prevent the water from disturbing the substrate. Once your aquarium is established, do not wash the substrate. Use a gravel vacuum once a month, or as needed, to remove loose debris. Caution: This is not a toy. Contains small parts. Keep out of reach of children. Children under age 13 should have adult supervision with setup, maintenance, and fish care. Advice For Use: The aquarium substrate bed will become a home for beneficial bacteria which keeps your aquarium healthy. Substrate may contain minerals that affect the water pH.
