(Note: Shipping and handling may cause substrate to rub and grind together, generating small particles. If needed, drain liquid prior to emptying into aquarium) Activ-Flora Bio Activ Nutrient-Enriched Substrate will automatically bi-segment into 2 layers with finer grade substrate on the bottom. If adding to an existing system, drain liquid prior to introducing new substrate and add slowly, while mixing. Activ-Flora is pre-washed by a nutri-stabilizing process to preserve trace elements and reduce cloudiness when introduced to an aquarium. Cloudiness can be further minimized by filling the tank with water at a slow rate so that the Activ-Flora substrate base is not disturbed. Plants must be placed in substrate with roots as deep as possible. If needed, stabilize plants with rocks, wood, or other decorative items. Caution: Do not rinse with chlorinated water. While this product is pre-washed, shipping and handling may cause the substrate to rub and grind together, generating small particles. These particles should settle with time and filtration. If needed, drain liquid before emptying the substrate in the aquarium.View details
